Position:                    Inside Sales Technical Engineer

Department:               Global Services and Solutions

 

The Technical Engineer is responsible for technical support for any additions, moves or changes to existing networks, event set up and support and special projects as required.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide technical expertise and support for the client and GSS Project Manager
  • Establish install timeline requirements during the installation phase.
  • Remotely lead and support during the installation/event phase.
  • Remotely configure network devices during the installation/event phase.
  • Facilitate communication between parties during the installation/event phase.
  • Troubleshoot network and configuration issues during the installation/event phase.
  • Coordinate delivery of network documentation and review for completeness and accuracy.
  • Complete technical project audit for transition to Global Support
  • Support multiple projects at one time and prioritize as required.
  • Participate in “on call” rotation for network emergencies during the installation/event phase.

Qualifications

 

  • Experience configuring wireless networks and switches.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting networks.
  • Experience designing networks a significant asset.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Self-starter with strong leadership traits and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Detail and process oriented personality with strong inclination for efficient documentation.
  • Language ability is an additional asset, particularly English, Spanish and French.
  • Valid passport an asset.
