Event Conferencing Services (ECS) is a subsidiary of GuestTek and is a global provider of secure, temporary IP networks for large scale corporate events, conferences and exhibitions. This position is responsible for overseeing that all events and projects produced through ECS, large and small, are well planned and well executed. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the specific project you’re working on, and ensure clear and consistent communications flows between all parties. Project managers work closely with upper management to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, as well as other departments for support. Additionally, ECS’s project manager also assists in the facilitation of training of other or new ECS staff members or contractors on specific show-based responsibilities. This position also requires managing a small team of network engineers and or contractors remotely, as each engineer will be based in certain regions around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Reviews client requests and provides technical support for the integration of IT and Network services at Events
  •  Coordinates all proposals and work provided by event venues, HSIA providers, ISPs, and/or 3rd party vendors
  • Deploys, tests, and supports Event networks, WiFi, IT Assets, IT Help Desk, and Experiential Technology
  • Delivers technical resources within Event budget and schedule
  • Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients
  • Cultivate a network of global event resources and provide reports on vendor performance
  • Owns the technical support lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout support planning and delivery
  • Communicates and enforces Facebook IT standards; assists with creating and defining new standards as technology and scope evolves

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant progressive professional experience, ideally in project management, product management/development, and/or other product applications engineering
  • Exceptional technical skills in LAN and WAN connectivity products such as IP routing products; Wireless AP products; IP based services delivery; Voice over IP, Video over IP 
  • Up to 90% travel in your respective region
  • Ability to design and document Telco/network infrastructures, including fiber and copper Familiarity with network equipment; i.e., routers, switches, & implementations
  • Outstanding technical competency
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read commercial building blueprints a plus.
